Using PayPal

If you haven't used PayPal before you may need some guidance.

The first thing is, you don't need to have a PayPal account. An ordinary credit or debit card will do.

The second thing is, it appears to be safe. Millions of people (literally) use Paypal all the time.

So, this is what happens. When you press the green 'Pay and submit' button, you will be taken to the PayPal website, where you will see this page:

We have put red rings round the two important bits. In the top right is the amount you are paying, so that you can check it. At the bottom it says 'check out as a guest', which is what you want to do, so click that link. It takes you to the second page:

On the second page, you can put in the details of your credit or debit card. BEFORE DOING SO, check that the address of the page you're on contains the letters https, like this:

The 'https' bit guarantees secure transmission, so nobody can eavesdrop. That check is just a precaution, and I've never known it not be OK, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. So if all is well, enter the required details, check the box saying you have read the terms and conditions, and click the Pay Now button. Finished.
